Hello Transition,

Frack Free Fort Collins (FFFC) has victory within reach.  Have you ever swung a baseball bat before or attempted to draw a perfect line?  With enough inertia, yet without a follow, through these types of actions in life can yield bitter failure.

This is the case with regard to a ban on fracking in Fort Collins.  FFFC and their efforts have achieved great success.  We finally have a tangible ban within our grasp.  Members of City Council are placing a ban on their agenda.  The time has come for GREAT public turnout in order to solidify all of our efforts.

In the past spring of 2012, a moratorium was on the council's agenda.  The moratorium was passed on the first reading unanimously 6-0.  Due to a lack of participation at the second reading, the moratorium failed.  We have learned from our mistake, yet as a movement we are still at the mercy of how many people actually show up to these readings.  Please consider attending City Council on one or both of these dates to express your views/support of a ban on fracking within Fort Collins.

February 19th, 6 pm. City Hall, 300 Laporte Ave

March 5th, 6pm.  City Hall, 300 Laporte Ave.

There are murmurs of a coalition in the works to ban fracking withing the County.  If we can express enough support at both of these dates.. the better chance we have of achieving this goal in the County.  Can you begin to see the picture?  I know I can.  If we achieve a *Grand Slam* attendance at both of these readings we may be able to achieve a ban on fracking within the county, this year!

Please come, and lend your energy.  You will be among many friends and may learn just how the process of City Council works just a little better.

Thank for your time and efforts, I look forward to seeing you at City Hall and also at one of the many functions we will surely have this coming growing season.  Hooray for spring!
