Hi everyone - our meetings have been continuing on Monday nights spontaneously, without gaps where only one person shows up. Since some of us are going through a transition by having to get houses being built out of the horse arena and even maybe changing our residence, is it time to revisit how we will continue to meet and what we can commit to regarding showing up?
I have heard concern that it's essential that the group to continue to meet regularly. I personally agree. I also have a scheduling conflicts sometimes and feel responsible because new people contact me frequently. So far I've been there to meet them.
If we agree to continue to meet regularly, and if someone new joins the group that that person take it upon themselves to show up in person to make sure new people don't come and no one would be there.
What do you all think/need about continuing our current spontaneous and regular way of meeting?
The Transition Movement is in well over a thousand highly diverse communities across the world - from towns in Australia to neighborhoods in Portugal, from cities in Brazil to rural communities in Slovenia, from urban locations in Britain to islands off the coast of Canada. Many of these initiatives are registered on the Transition Network website.
